Case Summary

p1615 The Court of Appeal reversed and remanded the trial court's orders awarding a former trustee attorney fees and costs from trust assets after hiring an eight attorney legal team from three firms to defend against charges of self-dealing. The appellate court could not discern from the record if the trial court properly considered whether the fee award was reasonable and appropriate for the benefit of the trust.
