4992 REVIEW DENIED. As agents of the state, and not of the counties that employ them, district attorneys sued in their official capacities enjoy Eleventh Amendment sovereign immunity. They also enjoy prosecutorial immunity under Government Code, § 821.6 for all actions causally connected with criminal investigations or prosecutions, even if those actions occur after charges in a criminal case have been dropped.
